Doctoral Degree in Hydraulic Engineering at Environmental, Hydraulic, Infrastructures and Surveying Engineering (DIIAR) of Milan Polytechnic.
Research assistant from 2000 to 2004 at the DICATeA of Parma University.
Researcher in Hydraulic Structures at Parma University since 2005.
Since 2008 research fellow with tenure at Parma University.
From April 2017 owner of National Academic Qualification as Associate Professor.
With effect from December 31, 2018 Associate Professor at Parma University.

Experimental modelling of free surface flows:
Several experimental investigations were realized at the hydraulics laboratory of Parma University concerning dam-break flows in presence of smooth and rough bed, submersible and not submersible obstacles, dry and wet bed.
Recently a new technique based on digital images, for the acquisition of water depths in a 2D domain, was realized and investigated in depth.
Numerical modelling of free surface flows:
Several approaches were investigated for the modelling of rapidly varying flows under 1D and 2D schematizations on flat or non flat topographies.
