Integrated course unit module: RESPIRATORY AND CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES (ATT)

Learning objectives

The ADF of the 3rd year has the scope to prepare the students to deepen their knowledge the arguments that will be carried out in the 4th year. <br />
The frequency in the ward visits will premit the student to verify the arguments learnt during the theoretical lessons so as to apprehend the principal basis of the specialized discipline. <br />

Course unit content

<p>The ADF is relative to the following pathologies: tumour of the lungs, pleura, mediastin, etc. These topics will be developed in the preparatory way of the ADF concerning the 4th year students. <br />
The ADI is aimed at small groups of students that on the ward become involved in the pre and post operative problems; in particular the students are in contact with the case history and the exams concerning the main thoracic pathologies; the students learn to detect the vital parameters: b/p, cardiac frequency, respiratory frequency, blood/O2 concentration; the students assist medication and are help in interpreting the X-ray exams of the thorax. <br />
