Learning outcomes of the course unit
Aim of the course: to illustrate to the student the different methodological approaches to paleobiological and paleoclimatological problems through the detailed analysis of selected intervals and/or events of the geologic record.
Required qualification: to have attended Paleontology, Introductory Geology, Micropaleontology and Historical Geology I

Contents of the course:
1-Phanerozoic biotic crises;
2-The primordial earth;
3-The invasion of the land;
4-The Triassic-Jurassic boundary;
5-The Upper Paleozoic icehouse;
6-The middle Cretaceous greenhouse.
