Learning outcomes of the course unit
The course ensures a command of the methods of the ancient sources and a specific knowledge of the debate of the modern historiography on the Greek-Roman world.
Prerequisites
Students are required to have introductory knowledge of ancient history.
Course contents summary
Advanced course in the methodology and interpretation of ancient historiography. The emphasis is on the methods of deformation and propaganda in the ancient sources.
