Learning outcomes of the course unit
The course is designed to give the student the knowledge of the fundamental anthropometry applied to the physical exercise and sport sciences. Moreover, it is also focused on the basis of joint biomechanics and body posture.
Course contents summary
Anthropometry applied to physical activities and sports: BMI and anthropometric measurements in adults and children, reference values, body composition (fat mass and lean mass), anthropometric methodology.
General information on joint biomechanics.
Biomechanics of the spine.
Biomechanics of the upper and lower limbs.
Posture and its correlation with work and sports.
