Learning objectives

Course unit content

Provide knowledge of occlusion and dental, masticatory function and pathophysiology of the stomatognathic system with special reference to the development of dentition. To accustom students to diagnose and set the correct treatment of major diseases dentistry: prevention and treatment of dental caries and periodontal disease acute and chronic inflammatory with its reflections concerning the hard and soft tissues. Knowledge of diseases of the oral mucosa. Pathology of jaw bone, pre-cancerous and Dental Traumatology. Make students able to differentiate the various types of orofacial pain, know the objectives regarding the Preventive dentistry and the restoration of masticatory function by prosthesis and orthodontic treatment.
