Learning outcomes of the course unit
Basic knowledge of mechanisms of response to tissue damage (inflammation, hemostasis, repair) and of their alterations. Elementary knowledge of cell death mechanisms and of basic features of tumor cell biology. Knowledge of the main characteristics of microorganisms and viruses, of their role in natural systems and in relation to the host, as well as of their pathogenic role. Acquisition of terminological competences.
The preventive acquisition of the competences yielded by the Courses of Anatomy and Histology and of Biosciences is highly recommended.
