Learning objectives

The course aims to enable the student to know and understand the basic principles in the field of trade unions and collective bargaining, through the investigation of the joints and more fundamental problem that characterize the evolution of matter. The purpose of the lessons is also to provide the student with the ability to use knowledge and understanding of the main issues and problems related to industrial relations and collective bargaining process, with particular attention to the latest developments related to collective bargaining and the separate cd . "Exception" to the second level.
In addition, detailed analysis of the most relevant legal guidelines in the field will give the student the opportunity, applying the knowledge and understanding of the issues, to acquire independence of judgment and critical approach to the representation and solution of problems related to the dynamics of contract and effectiveness of collective bond within the regulation of the individual employment contract.

Course unit content

The course aims to present the critical analysis of some of the main issues which matter is composed of trade union rights. For the first part of the course, which covers the basics of the trade union system in force in our country, will be followed by a second dedicated to the study and interpretation of the contractual system of union representation in Italy, to illustrate the principles, operation and practical implications in the dynamics of relationships industry, not only through the analysis of the sources and institutional texts, but also by analyzing the paths jurisprudential and doctrinal. In particular, the topics covered will be:
The sources of trade union rights. The union is not recognized as an association. Organizational models; confederations and federations. The territorial organization. The representativeness. Teaching methods

The course consists of lectures. During the lectures will highlight the founding characteristics of each institution and discussed general issues related to their application and any court decisions relating to the interpretation of the largest and most controversial legal concepts involved.

Assessment methods and criteria

The assessment of the achievement of the objectives of the course consists of an oral examination.
Through questions regarding the general themes of the course will be determined whether the student has achieved the goal of knowledge and understanding of the content. Through questions regarding the main characteristics of the system of collective bargaining will be determined whether the student has achieved the goal of being able to apply the acquired knowledge
