Learning outcomes of the course unit
Students will acquire advanced language skills for the reading and interpretation of Latin authors.
Course requirement: 10 credits in the Latin language and literature SDA.
Course contents summary
Course title: Aspects of curiositas in Latin authors of the Imperial Age
Through the reading and commentary of selected passages on the theme of curiositas, the aim of the course is to explore the development of such concept.
A section of the course will be dedicated to an in-depth examination of certain aspects of historical phonetics and morphology
Selected bibliography on the topic discussed will be provided during the lessons..

A.Traina, G. Bernardi Perini, Propedeutica al latino universitario (ch. VI, VIII, IX).
Virgil, Aen. (a book chosen among those not yet esamined); a classic in prose to be agreed with the professor
Assessment methods and criteria
Classroom lectures and exercises plus weekly tutorials.
The exam consists of an oral exam on various topics covered in the course syllabus.
