MATHEMATICAL ANALYSIS AB
Learning outcomes of the course unit
Provide some essential mathematical tools.
Prerequisites
"Precorso" (basic arithmetics, algebra, trigonometry, elementary functions).
Course contents summary
Real numbers: inequalities, absolute value, distance; complex numbers: properties, modulus, algebraic, trigonometric and exponential forms, powers and roots.
Functions: continuous functions (definition, properties, theorems), limits (definition, properties, theorems), sequences (fundamental properties).
Derivatives: definition, properties, theorems, geometric interpretation, Taylor formula, algebra of the infinitesimals, primitives.
Integrals: indefinite, definite, fundamental theorems, integration methods.
Series: definition, properties, convergence criteria.
Differential equations: lineari first order, linear second order with constant coefficients, Cauchy problem.
