Learning outcomes of the course unit
The course aims to give a very profound knowledge of the topics and an accurate methodology, making the student able of working on these subjects with awareness.
Course contents summary
This is a monographic course focused on the main theories of ancient and contemporary theatrical culture. It focuses on the analysis of Elettra's myth different versions (Sofocle, Euripide, Hofmannsthal, Yourcenar, Sartre).
Beside the texts discussed in the course, Luigi Allegri, "La drammaturgia da Diderot a Beckett", Laterza, two books to be decided with the teacher.
Oral lectures with analysis and reading of the texts.
