Learning outcomes of the course unit
To give the student the proper knowledge about typical issues related to the design of mechanical systems, with particular reference to Fluid Machinery and Energy Systems verifying at the same time the possibilities of the application of the methodologies gained through the teaching courses.
Course contents summary
The course aims to deepen the themes typical of the design of mechanical systems, with particular reference to Fluid Machinery and Energy Systems. Emphasis is given to the practical development of a specific design activity through an individual project work in the field of mechanical engineering to give the student the proper knowledge on typical problems that have to be solved applying methods and techniques taught during the course of studies.
References will be given related to the specific activity developed.
The work is divided into lectures and insights that will allow a thorough analysis of the specific individual's problem and the development of a project of a specific mechanical system.
Assessment methods and criteria
The student must carry out the project of a specific system and prepare a final report on its activities: the final assessment is the discussion of the work and report.
