Acquisition of essential knowledge of Latin literature and in-depth examination of a path, a theme and some authors via the reading of texts in translation.

Course title: Latin literature: Themes and motives
The course addresses the reading and analysis of those literary items which provide evidences of basic themes of Latin literature.
A specific bibliography and texts will be provided in the course of the lessons. Core content: history of Latin literature from its origins until the end of the Imperial Age.

Teaching methods
The course is conducted through oral lessons and exercises, supplemented by tutoring each week.
The exam consists of an oral test on different parts of the program.
