Learning objectives

The course is a tool of fundamental importance in the context of Numerical Analysis courses since it introduces the students to the use of finite predcision computational systems, from a mathematical-numerical point of view.

 Introduction to MATLAB 7: MATLAB as computational environment – Array and matrices – Files, functions and data structures – Matlab as programming language – Diagrams – Graphics. 
MATLAB as a tool to implement and analyse numerical algorithms.
