INFECTIOUS DISEASES
Learning outcomes of the course unit
8. Obiettivi (con particolare riferimento alle competenze acquisite ed agli obiettivi formativi): AIMS: to supply the basic knowledge for clinical skills about: aetiology, natural history, pathogenesis, epidemiology, and diagnosis and therapy of the infectious diseases listed below having a major impact in the clinical practice:
Bacterial and viral diseases: sepsis, syphilis, leptospirosis, borreliosis, meningitis and meningoencephalitis, pneumonitis, infections of the urinary tract, viral hepatitis, gastroenteritis, tuberculosis;
Parasitic diseases: Malaria, intestinal parisitosis (amoebiasis, cryptosporidisosis, giardiasis, cryptosporidiosis, strongyloidiasis, ossiuriasis, teniasis) toxoplasosis, idatidosis.
Prerequisites
Prerequisiti: yes, to have passed all examinations included in the 3rd year of the course.
