Coma and cerebral death, organ donation . Poisoning and intoxication<br />Monitoring the critical patient<br /> <br /> <br />      Pulmonary diseases: ARDS,pulmonary embolism,edema,<br />      Cardiac arrhythmias: etiology. Course unit content

<br />The student is expected to acquire information useful for: recognising the medical-surgical emergency conditions requiring the involvement of a specialist; assessing emerging clinical situations concerning organs and systems in the areas of critical medicine, surgery and cardiology. Recognise the main diseases with emerging prognosis quod vitam leading to an early clinic extrinsication. The diagnostic / therapeutic path, d ifferential diagnosis principles, the bases of treatment. The course will most of aIl focus on the concepts of triage and early differential diagnosis with a view to providing knowledge of the main international guidelines also using standard procedures
