Learning outcomes of the course unit
Provide knowledge dental occlusion and masticatory function. classify
various dental disharmonies and dentoscheletriche. Analyze diagnostic methods and therapeutic possibilities.
Course contents summary
Stomatognathic system. Craniofacial growth. Development of the dentition, orthodontic terminology. Dental occlusion: the static and dynamic relationships. Occlusion and posture. Centric relation and centric occlusion. Orthodontics and cervical craniomandibular dysfunction. Classification of dento-maxillo-facial disharmonies. Psychological approach to the orthodontic patient. First Orthodontic. Orthodontic semiotics. Laboratory Tests: prints and patterns, photographs, x-rays, axiografia. Cephalometric analysis.
