Course contents summary

1) Theory (1 CFU: 8 hours)
Molecular aspects of innate and acquired immunity against biological agents:
- Immunity to virus;
- Immunity to bacteria
Molecular mechanisms of endotoxic and septic shock
2) Lab Practicals (1CFU: 8 hours)
Evaluation of the efficiency of immune response during infection or vaccine protocols
- Flow cytometry for lymphocyte characterization
- ELISpot tecnique for cytokine secretion assay.
