Learning objectives

The aim of the course is to focus on the theoretical debate regarding autobiography in the second half of the twentieth century in France.

Course unit content

The course will focus on “Crisis and the return of écriture de vie”. <br />
From the 1960s until the present day, various forms of écriture de vie (autobiography, the diary, self-fiction) have been explored in often divergent perspectives. The course will offer a series of reflections in the margins of texts by Sartre, Robbe-Grillet, Barthes, Sarraute, Perec and others. <br />

Teaching methods
