Learning objectives

Introduction to the sociological analysis of globalisation processes affecting everyday life. Introduction to the cross-disciplinary (biological, sociological, anthropological) analysis of human behaviour.

Prerequisites

Good knowledge of the Italian language. Good general culture.

Course unit content

The creative and interactive characteristics of processes generating subjectivity will be discussed, both from a general, theoretical viewpoint, and with regard to the emergence of a form of human cohabitation extending across the whole planet for the first time in history: the world-society. The course will then analyse and examine the transformations currently occurring in the depiction of everyday life, in association with the gradual transitions affecting factors that were taken for granted during the course of modernity and in state-centred society: emancipation, individualism, space/time, work, and community.
