Learning objectives
<br />The main objective is to provide a basic knowledge in physics, chemistry, biochemistry and biology needed for the biomedical sciences in the field of physiotherapeutic techniques. At the end of the course the students must know:<br />- some concepts of basic physics necessary to use the technologies and instruments of common use in biomedical and diagnostic practice and to understand physiology and anatomy;<br />- the fundamental concepts of chemistry, the structure of elements and molecules of biological interest; how small organic molecules may assemble and form the complex macromolecules; the function of the main classes of macromolecules, the fundamental aspects of metabolic pathways with their connexions and regulations;<br />- fundamentals on structure and function of the cell and its components, modes of reproduction of organisms and evolution in general.
