LATIN LITERATURE I (UNIT A)
Learning outcomes of the course unit
Students will acquire essential knowledge of Latin literature and explore a specific line of study, topic or author in detail through the reading of translated texts.
Course contents summary
Lecture course: the course aims to outline the essential characteristics of Plautine theatre with particular reference to its Fortleben, which will be illustrated through the reading and comparison of selected passages.
General part: history of Latin literature. Students will learn the broad outlines of all of Latin literature, with particular reference to the main authors.
