Learning outcomes of the course unit
To provide the students with a basic knowledge on the following subjects:
1. Physiological changes and main surgical problems occurring in pregnancy;
2. General principles in pharmacokinetics and mechanism of action of drugs. Drug toxicity during pregnancy. Main drugs used in pregnancy, during labour and delivery, in the postpartum and for other pregnancy-related diseases.
3. Main anaesthesiological and analgesic technics in obstetrics.
4. Operative theatre: setting, equipment and health risk factors.
Prerequisites
Examinations of the preceeding year have to be passed
