Learning outcomes of the course unit
The course is designed to give students the fundamental notions on the special part of criminal law, both with reference to legal interests protected by criminal law and with reference to the “general categories” of the special part; this is in order to allow the student who knows the elements of the general part of criminal law, to apply the notions already studied and to perceive the criminological dimension of criminal law which is displayed in the special part. An analysis of the leading cases aims to allow the student to learn the method which is necessary in order to understand the legal problems of the special part and to learn how to study the exegesis of crimes.
Course contents summary
The course programme focuses on the special part of the criminal code. The most important introductive notions of the special part will be analysed; the Sections (Titles) in which the special part is divided will be analysed with attention to the “protection perspective”, that means to the legal interests. The course will analyse also some leading cases with comments.

Oral classes/lectures on the related topics. The students who will take classes will have the opportunity to prepare a simulated trial.
