Teach students the biological and pathophysiological bases of general surgery
Course contents summary
Polytraumas. Visceral dislocations. Acute abdomen, Peritonitis, Intestinal occlusion. Mesenteric ischemia. Digestive hemorrhages. Icterus and cholestasis. Portal hypertension. Main neoplasms of general surgical interest.

Classroom lectures including the projection of a large quantity of visual and graphic materials, interacting directly with the students with a view to adapting the subject, not of specific competence to this course, to their learning -and, if necessary, to their applicative - requirements.
Assessment will be made through discussion of the topics treated in the lectures.
