Learning objectives
Acquisition of basic and specialist skills in the surgical and obstetrical/gynecological treatment of small and large animals.
Prerequisites
Students must have previously acquired knowledge of the aetiopathogenesis and treatment of diseases of surgical interest, in addition to familiarity with the physiological and physiopathological features of the female genital system in small and large animals.
Course unit content
The course takes a practical approach to various diseases and conditions in small and large animals treated in the surgical and obstetrical/gynaecological units of veterinary hospitals.

Teaching methods
Teaching takes a clinical, case-based approach, by discussing diseases and conditions with students, assessing differential diagnoses, suggesting potential therapies and performing the therapy selected.
