HYGIENE AND HEALTH EDUCATION
Learning outcomes of the course unit
The student will have to acquire the essential knowledge on the prevention of the infectious diseases and not, to acquire knowledge of environment hygiene, of hygiene hospital worker, of education to the health,and the national and international sanitary organization.

Epidemiological Methodology
The main measures in epidemiology, type of epidemiological studies. Concept of risk factor and cause of disease.
General epidemiology of the infectious disease
The sources of infection, transmission modality.
Favoring factors the appearance of infections.
Ways of appearance of the infections in the population.
Preventive Medicine
The purposes and the methods of the prevention. Levels of preventive participation.
The prevention of the infections
Discovered and inactivation of infection sources, interruption of the transmission chains; increase of resistance to the infections
General principles of prevention of not infectious disease
Tertiary, secondary, primary prevention
Prevention of the transmissible infections with the blood
(HBV, HDV, HCV, HIV)
Prevention of the infections in pregnancy
Hospital infections
Hygiene of the environment
The drinkable water: gestures on the supplying sources, possibilities of pollution; drinkable criterions, purification methods
Education to the health and sanitary organization
