OCULAR MOBILITY AND STRABISMUS
Learning outcomes of the course unit
The aim of the course is to teach the necessary elements for a correct evaluation of the most common forms of strabismus, both congenital and acquired. Therapeutic methods for correcting these disorders are described.
Course contents summary
Squints: congenital squints, accommodative squint, partially accommodative squint; monofixation; acute squint
Squints: due to excessive convergence, due to insufficient convergence
Retraction syndromes: Duane, Brown, vertical, post-traumatic
Disassociated vertical deviations
Paralytic strabismus: diagnostic semiotics and orthoptic/surgical treatment
Internuclear ophthalmoplegia and conjugate deviations
