These notions are basilar to the full comprehension ofthe organic world and understanding of topics of more advaced courses.

Program:<br />- History and development of the theoryof evolution. Natural and Sexual selection. Genetic bases of heredity,mutations and evolutionary processes. Evolution of man. <br />- Living organisms: basic concepts andcomponents (proteins, lipids, glucidsand nucleic acids)<br />- Viruses e Bacteria <br />- Structure, function and evolution ofthe eukariotic cell and its components<br />-Asexual and sexual reproduction (mitosis ans meiosis) <br />- Gametogenesys and fertilization- Biology of reproductive behaviour and its hormonal regulation. <br />
