Learning objectives

Students must acquire the knowledge to treat and monitor a foetus in the uterus using ultrasound methodologies before and after the foetus has reached an autonomous ability to live. <br />

Prerequisites

Students must have attended propedeutic lectures.

Course programme: 1st trimester pathology, multiple pregnancies; delay in growth (S GA-IUGR), invasive and non-invasive prenatal diagnosis, ultrasound during pregnancy 1st, 2nd, 3rd trimester; uterus-vaginal malformations; association of maternal factors in pelvic pathology; maternal-foetus infections (toxoplasmosis, cytomegalovirus, herpes, rubella, parvovirus, mumps, chickenpox, measles, etc.); physical principles of different types of ultrasound: B/W, Colour, Power, 3-4D, TA,TV. <br />
