Learning outcomes of the course unit
The course aims to provide students with the basic concepts and of a selection of elements useful for contextualising the future professional position (management or teaching) of the students themselves, within the network of skills and responsibilities typical of the position itself, in the relationship with the health organisation in question and the nursing personnel.
Course contents summary
The course will involve the presentation and discussion of 6 sub-units lasting 2 hours each, as follows:
The reasons behind the Labour law course in the “qualifying” logic of the two-year advanced degree; the evolution of the relationship between the health professional, organisation and user; the issue of the “professional autonomy of the health professional” and the legal qualification of work relations in the health sector;
History and sources of Labour Law;
from the Workers’ Statute to the Work Statute;
Dependent employment, works contract, semi-dependent employment; the “flexibility” question and the “Biagi” law;
The contents of the dependent employment relationship; rights, duties and obligations; severing of the work relationship;
Evolution and specificity of the work relationship in public administration structures.

Classroom lecture with the use of visual aids and classroom discussion with students.
Written exam at the end of the unit, and/or an oral exam on the basis of the exam schedule.
Attendance of at least three-quarters (75%) of the classroom lectures and study of the parts examined during the course, using the recommended text.
