Knowledge of the interactions between the organism and the environmental pathogenic factors and fundamental knowledge on some human diseases with high incidence.
Course contents summary
The biological homeostasis. Healt and diseases.
Intrinsic and extrinsic pathogenic factors. Physical, chemical and biological factors.
Individual contaminations by habit-forming practice. Smoke, alcohol.
Physiopathology of blood and hemostasis:
Blood. Hematopoiesis. Anemias. Hemostasis and its alterations: trombosis, embolism, ischemia and infarction. Life style and tumor.
Classification. Benign and malignant tumors. Tumor etiology. Invasivity and metastasis. Pathogenesis of neoplastic diseases.
Atherosclerosis: risks factors, development of artherosclerotic plaque and its evolution.
