Learning objectives

Advanced study of Latin and acquisition of the methodological skills required for independent research.<br />

Prerequisites

<p>Course requirement: 10 credits in the Latin language and literature SDA. Students who have already gained 15 credits in the same SDA must pass a preliminary written entry exam.</p>

Course unit content

<p> Course title: The journey in Seneca’s prose works. <br />
<br />
The course will provide an in-depth examination of aspects of Seneca’s language, above all in relation to the metaphorical use of the domain of the journey as an image of existence and of the moral path towards the seeking of wisdom. <br />
</p>
<p>Close examination of topics in historical Latin morphology. <br />
<br />
Students will carry out a piece of scientific research to be agreed upon with the professor. <br />
</p>
