PEDAGOGICAL STUDIES IN MARGINALITY AND DEVIANCE
Learning outcomes of the course unit
o To learn about the basic characteristics of bullying.
o To identify the categorisation system used in discursive practices regarding bullying.
o To be able to identify the main elements of a number of intervention models and provide a critical reading of them.
Course contents summary
During the course the phenomenon of bullying will be analysed. The activities proposed are organised in two parts. The first reconstructs the features of the phenomenon through a historical analysis, an examination of the terminology and a study of recent empirical research. The educational viewpoint will be enriched with psychological, sociological and economic interpretations.
The second unit will analyse a number of intervention models tried in Italy or abroad, examining their potential and limitations.
