Learning objectives

Educational goals: Knowledge of the main national and EU legislative provisions of interest for the industrial and commercial sector. Knowledge of legislation regarding packaging with particular regard to supply chain applications. <br />

Acquired skills: The intention of the course is to allow typical Regulatory Affairs company activities to be carried out. Application of current legislation, interpretation of standards of interest, solving of legal problems. Activities focussed on the application of packaging and packaging processes.

Course unit content

<br />In-depth study of national and EU legislation regarding the industrial packaging sector. The course then presents the provisions of the law that indirectly regard packaging: environmental standards, safety and metrological standards. Following that, the course presents the provisions of the law that regard the application of packaging for some industrial sectors: food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and chemical, with more detailed attention being given to safety and communication (labelling) profiles.
