Draw students' attention to emerging themes in biochemical and molecular biological research. Provide students with the tools for coping with the mass of scientific literature on biochemical and molecular biological topics, and for recognising the originality and significance of scientific articles and analysing them critically.
A good knowledge of basic and cellular biochemistry, molecular biology and recombinant DNA technologies is required.
