To provide information regarding the importance of mass spectrometry and related techniques to the future of environmental, food and biomedical research
Course contents summary
Principles of sampling techniques for analysis based on mass spectrometry. Development and applications of mass spectrometry and related techniques for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of compounds of environmental, food and biomedical concern. Validation of methods based on mass spectrometry. Standard operative procedures for mass spectrometry.
Laboratory exercitations based on: GC-MS, GC-IT-MS/MS, LC-MS, LC-MS/MS (triple quadrupole), LC-MS/MS (ESI-Q-TOF), MALDI-TOF, ICP-MS.
