BIBLIOGRAPHICAL RESEARCH AND INFORMATIC DEVICES
Learning outcomes of the course unit
The main scope of the course is to give the student the main information and instruments to carry out a bibliographic search in the library (paper and online journals) on topics of Inorganic/general/organic/analytical chemistry.
It is fundamental that a student has a basic kowledge of inorganic and organic chemstry together with the fundamental rule for nomenclature of chemical compounds.
It is important that students possess a basic knowledge of the use of a pc and of an Internet Browser (Explorer or Nescape) and of molecular drawing programs such as ISISDraw.

The course is divided into two parts. The first one is aimed at explaining the students the main information concerning a bibliographic research and the instruction to carry out such search on paper and electronic supports. The second part consists in practicals in the library or in the informatic laboratory where the students will directly carry out a bibliographic search on specific chemical topics.
