Learning objectives

Appraisal of principles and methods of epidemiological enquiries on foodborne epidemics

Prerequisites

Propedeutics according regulations of the Degree Course

Course unit content

Students take part in interactive computer assisted simulations concerning epidemiological surveys in case of food poisoning outbreaks. Special emphasis is placed on (a) statistical methods that can be used to identify any suspect food and (b) comparing the frequency of the disease in exposed and non-exposed groups.
