Provide fundamental knowledge on the etiology, pathophysiology, clinical, instrument and laboratory diagnostics, prognosis and treatment of the most common cardiovascular, respiratory and urinary diseases in small and large animals.
Learn to recognise and correctly interpret signs, symptoms and objective findings associated with cardiovascular, respiratory and urinary diseases.
Learn how to choose the most appropriate laboratory and instrumental diagnostic methods (electrocardiography, imaging diagnostics) with a view to defining diagnosis and prognosis.
Learn how to choose the correct treatment and monitoring technique for the patient

Course contents summary
Medical pathology of the respiratory system:
Diseases of the upper respiratory tract (nasal and paranasal cavity, larynx). Diseases of the trachea and bronchi. Diseases of the lungs and pleura. Diaphragm diseases.
Medical pathology of the urinary system:
Circulatory, inflammatory, degenerative and mechanical kidney diseases. Diseases of the bladder, ureters and urethra. Acute and chronic renal insufficiency.
Me4 dical pathology of the cardiovascular system:
Pericarditis and pericardial effusions. Myocarditis, Cardiomyopathies. Endocarditis. Endocardiosis. Cardiac rhythm abnormalities. Acute and chronic cardiocirculatory failure.
