Learning outcomes of the course unit
The student must apprehend how complex is the molecular landscape of vegetable and animal food. Moreover, he must recognize the milestones of evolution and adaptation of digestive apparatus, from animal to man, in relation to the complex task it is imposed upon.
Prerequisites
The student must have passed the 1st year-exams
Course contents summary
Outlines of the biochemical mechanism of digestion in mono- and poly-gastric animals, in relation to the composition and nutritional value of food.
