Integrated course unit module: APPLIED BIOCHEMISTRY AND MOLECULAR BIOLOGY

Learning objectives

The main objective of the course is to provide the students with the fundamentals of molecular biology, cellular biology and applied biochemistry, focusing on the basic concepts and applications related to the veterinary medicine. In particular, part of the course will be focused on the different aspect of protein synthesis and assembling of the cytoskeleton. The aim is of providing the students with the essential tools for the interpretation of the physiological and pathology mechanisms related to these biochemical processes. In addition, the students will be introduced to the basic techniques of cell cultures, immuno-diagnostics, Proteomics and to the applications of Stem cell biology in the field of Veterinary Medicine. <br />
