Endocrinology (Hormone chemistry, receptors and mechanism of action. Neurohypophysis and adenohypophysis. Pineal gland. Thyroid gland and thyroid disfunction. Hormones and glands associated with calcium metabolism and skeletal homeostasis. Endocrine secretion of pancreas: insulin, glucagon and their control. Adrenal gland: chemistry and metabolism of the adrenal medullary hormones. Chemistry of the adrenocortical hormones and adrenocrotical dysfunction.)
Reproduction in female ( reproductive hormones. Ovarian function: folliculogenesis, ovulation, corpus luteum. Puberty. Reproductive cycles: estrous cycle in different species. Pregnancy: maternal recognition of pregnancy. Placenta. Endocrinology of gestation. Parturition.)
