PHYSICAL MEDICINE AND REHABILITATION
Learning outcomes of the course unit
The training objectives of the integrated course are aimed at the knowledge of the main pathologies in the neuro-musculoskeletal field and the biological and therapeutic effects of rehabilitative techniques and physical therapy . The learner must also be able to evaluate the objective and subjective data of the patient in the design of the physiotherapy care process and be able to recognize the main ergonomic prevention measures in the management of the patient.
Course contents summary
General concepts of physical and rehabilitative medicine. The main pathologies of the musculoskeletal system and rehabilitation and physical therapies will be treated.
Principal concepts Physical Medicine and musculoskeletal conditions and Rehabilitation. Instrumental Therapy
Thermotherapy, electrical currents, Light Therapy, Ultrasound, Laser Therapy, Magnetotherapy
Applications in orthopedic physical means: indications and contraindications
Instrumental assessments and Innovation in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation baropodometry; hyperthermia; TECA.R.terapia, ND-YAG Laser, Cryoultrasound
