Course unit content

The course is structured on the experience of Transcultural Nursing and Interculture where Nurses are trained with a vision of care that also pays attention to cultural diversity as a whole as a cultural human being. In order to be effective and equal, care needs to know the values, morals, uses and customs of diversity. Therefore, by offering a Demo-ethno-anthropological training, the future nurse is placed in the condition of having a knowledge of diversity and a mindset of openness that makes the figure of the Nurse an important element of social inclusion. The activities that the teaching offers include moments of meeting with local communities in a mutual exchange of knowledge, which allows the student to interact directly by immersing himself in the cultural reality on the opposite side from his own. Moreover, extra-teaching meetings, which we define as "Cultural Cafes" with cult representatives, with personalities from the world of photojournalism (ANSA photojournalist) with representatives of institutions, help to increase knowledge and allow the student to relate to society outside the classroom , but within Anthropology, through participatory observation and cultural encounter / exchange.
