CARDIAC SURGERY - INTERNSHIP
Learning outcomes of the course unit
To learn the collection of the patient's clinical history, to perform a correct objective examination and to know main diagnostic methodologies. To know indications to surgery for the main cardiac pathologies.
Prerequisites
Compulsory previous exams:Human Anatomy, General Pathology, Physiology, Respiratory and Cardiovascular diseases
Course contents summary
Taking of medical history (also including aspects relative to cardiovascular disease; 2) Performing of objective examination and cardiac auscultation; 3) Pathophysiological mechanisms and consequent clinical aspects of the main clinical pictures of cardiac disease; 4) Modes and purposes of the main cardiological and cardiosurgical diagnostic and therapeutic methods; 5) Knowledge of the main surgical techniques applied to cardiac pathology.
