THEORY, TECHNIQUES AND TEACHING METHODS OF INDIVIDUAL SPORTS
Learning outcomes of the course unit
The main goal of the tuition is to provide the characteristics of different individual sports. Particular emphasis will be given to practical lessons as a methodology for teaching and learning individual sports. At the end of the course Student will know the teaching progression of technical sport gestures, as well as being able to identify the different aspects that influence the athlete performance.
The objectives of teaching and its contents regard area D, annex B of the D.M. 616/2017.
Course contents summary
The tuition (pre-FIT) is compliant with D.M. 616/2017.
1. Basic motor skills, motor skills and abilities.
2. Motor learning and control.
3. Sports classification.
4. Training principles.
5. The models of performance in individual sports.
Teaching, design methodology and regulations of the following sports:
(a) martial arts (judo, karate);
(b) gymnastics (male and female tools, regulations, scores and referees, rhythmic gymnastics);
(c) yoga (integration between physical, mental, intellectual and spiritual aspects);
(e) athletics (speed races, relay races, obstacle courses, middle-distance races, resistance races, jumps, throws, combined events);
(f) skyrunning (anatomy and physiology of running, cartography, meteorology).

The course will be held through lectures to Students either in the classroom (“in presenza”) or in synchronous-streaming (“in telepresenza”) on the Teams platform. Therefore, the opportunity of Student/Teacher interaction will be preserved both face to face and remotely, by the simultaneous use of the Teams platform.
Lectures will be supported by slide presentations, which will be available to Students on the Elly platform (https://elly2020.medicina.unipr.it/).
Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination, multiple choice test. In case of the persistence of the health emergency, the exams will be conducted remotely, as follows: structured written test conducted remotely (Teams and Elly). The test consists of 33 multiple choice questions on the course contents (reference texts + documents uploaded to Elly during the course); the final mark will be reported on Esse3.
