CRIMINAL LAW OF ECONOMICS AND PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION
The course aims to train students able to understand and analyze the macro phenomena of economic crime as well as criminal law related to the Public Administration, through the analysis of case studies, the study of the peculiarities of these types of offenses, also comparing our system of economic criminal law with that of other countries that have found themselves facing enormous economic crimes. At the end of the course the student is expected to know the fundamentals of economic criminal law and of criminal law related to the Public Administration; is able to face and solve application problems independently, also knowing how to communicate the results achieved in learning.
The first part of the course deals with the general principles of criminal law. While, in the second part, greater attention will be given to economic and public administration crimes.
The study of these topics will always be accompanied by case studies. Active participation in class will be requested, in a seminar-like perspective.

As for the in-depth study of the special part relating to economic criminal law and criminal law related to the Public Administration, the reference text is Fiore Stefano, Amarelli Giuseppe, I delitti dei Pubblici Ufficiali contro la Pubblica Amministrazione, Utet giuridica, 2021.
Constant consultation of the PENAL CODE is essential.
Frontal lesson and analysis of jurisprudential cases, in a seminar-like perspective.
Attendance to classes is highly recommended.
The teaching materials used during the lessons will be made available on Elly.
The exam consists of an oral examination on the topics of the program. In the oral exam, questions will be addressed on the foundations of economic criminal law and on criminal law related to the Public Administration, on its specificities, on the main offenses. It will also be verified that the student is able to use the specific terminology of the discipline. For those attending the course, it will be taken into account attendance and related exercises and the program will be agreed at the end of the course.
During the course, the material that has to be studied will be provided.
