Learning outcomes of the course unit
Knowledge and understanding.
The objective of the final exam is to provide the student with the ability to deeply understand a specific topic and with the knowledge of the writing and oral presentation skills about a scientific topic relevant to the Study Program
Applying knowledge and understanding
The student is required to develop independently what he has learned about the specific topic during the training course.
The student develops the thesis report according to autonomously identified processing lines
In the oral presentation of the work the student must organize an exhibition towards a technical public (Degree Commission) not necessarily specialized in the specific field covered by the thesis, guaranteeing both clarity and expository rigor.
The student increases his self-learning skills by interacting with the Commission which identifies new developments or points of improvement in the work done.
The final test can be carried out after the attainment of 111 CFU and after the completion of the formalities described in the didactic regulation
Course contents summary
The student will have to study and develop a project or a report on a topic identified together with the thesis supervisor.
Independent study under the guidance of the thesis supervisor.
Assessment methods and criteria
The report produced by the student will first be reviewed by the supervisor. The student will then have to present the main aspects of the work to an examining commission that has to ascertain the level achieved by the student on autonomy and mastery of the specific methodologies
