# BACKGROUND SEMINAR

## Learning outcomes of the course unit

The first series of lectures aims at introducing students to the mathematical research in fields which are investigated by the members of the Mathematical Unity of the Department of Mathematical, Physical and Computer Sciences.

The second series of lectures aims at teaching students properties and how to use the main mathematical databases (and also some databases in

fields close to mathematics. It also aims at teaching students the method of the bibliographic research.
